Forest and Wood Economy—Today and Tomorrow—from the Local to the Global Level
The 11th edition of INTERFORST in the year 2010 once again offered the opportunity to meet representatives of the industry at interesting lectures, to exchange information and to discuss perspectives and solution scenarios within the scope of the INTERFORST Congress and the Forums under the title “Forest and Wood Economy—Today and Tomorrow—from the Local to the Global Level.” There was a great diversity of topics dealing with regional and global aspects regarding resources, strategies and markets, but also focussing on developments in the areas of forest technology, logistics, work protection and energy. Forest and wood belong to the most promising branches of industry, making substantial contributions to a sustainable economy, climate protection and the quality of life. The trade-fair, congress and forum programmes offered convincing examples of this to the visitors and participants from the economy, politics and science.
